Turner Provides Boost For Cardiff City

Cardiff City have been handed a big boost with the news that Ben Turner should be available within the next few days and the decision to rest him appears to have been the correct one after the former Coventry City man picked up an ankle injury.

Turner missed the trip to Huddersfield Town in order to protect his ankle, and City were able to keep a clean sheet with Connolly and latterly Ben Nugent taking Turner's place alongside Mark Hudson.

The defensive line is the most settled area of the team, but also has the weakest squad depth and Turner's return to fitness is extremely welcome. Should he be ruled out, we would be reliant on youngsters - big ask at this crucial time of the season.

Hopefully Turner will be available to face Bristol City on Saturday, and the signs are promising that he will indeed be passed fit. However, if not, he will certainly back in contention for the following weekend and City can look forward to selecting from a near fully-fit side.
