Cardiff City In Huddersfield Stalemate

Cardiff City drew 0-0 away at Huddersfield Town yesterday to pick up a useful point on the road and continue our good run of form. City would clearly have hoped for a win, but can feel content with the point against the Terriers with the conditions particularly difficult on a poor surface.

Hudson, Bellamy twice and Conway had chances for City but the closest we came was when Matt Connolly's low effort rebounded off the post towards the end of the first half.

For the home side, there were relatively few chances though a Vaughan header and Norwood free-kick could well have caused problems for Marshall but ended up going wide. The closest the Terriers came ended with the ball in the net when James Vaughan reacted well to turn home - but the whistle had gone for a foul on Marshall.

City were without Ben Turner for the game, and look increasingly below strength in defence after McNaughton was clattered on the sttroke of half-time - he missed the second half. With those injuries in mind, the tricky pitch and Huddersfield's own form and gritty performance - a point was a decent return for Malky's Bluebirds.
