Leeds Lose Becchio, Bring In Morison

Cardiff City face Leeds United next and the Elland Road club have been busy during the transfer window with key striker Luciano Becchio departing the club having attracted significant interest from elsewhere. The striker has been in good form over the past couple of seasons and Norwich City have moved to offer him a chance on the Premiership.

The departure of Becchio is always going to be a blow to the Whites but they have capitalised on Norwich's interest by negotiating a swap deal for Wales striker Steve Morison. Former Millwall man Morison has had to compete with Grant Holt for a starting place and offers a welath of experience and Championship pedigree.

Morison is a good player, and well suited to the Championship. He will surely offer Leeds a powerful option in attack and is bound to score goals to help Leeds' cause. However, City would rather face Morison on Saturday than Becchio who is a more unpredictable player. Hudson and Turner will have to battle hard to keep Morison quiet, but they will
know what they are in for and are more than capable.

A win on Saturday would be massive for Cardiff City. It will be incredibly tough, and in reality a draw would be a very creditable result. However, City will be confident and looking to take all three points after a good training break in Dubai.
