O'Neill Backing Cardiff City For Promotion

Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill think new signing Fraizer Campbell will be the right man to help the Bluebirds capitalise on our current 'great position' with his former striker having the right attitude and determination to step down a division and help his new club achieve promotion.

O'Neill was speaking after the completion of Campbell's £600k move:

"It`s also an opportunity to help Cardiff into the Barclays Premier League."At the moment they`re doing well, although those can be eroded as we all know. That said, they are in a great position."

"Fraizer has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract and has all the motivation in the world to get back into the Barclays Premier League."

Campbell remains a top prospect with plenty of potential. He showed considerable promise at Manchester United, and was frustrated by injury problems at Sunderland. He could prove an excellent buy indeed for Cardiff City.
