Tonight`s game sees Cardiff travel to Home Park, Plymouth looking to bounce back against Ian Holloway`s side. The pilgrims are yet to win at home this season but have lost just one game, finding themselves in a healthy ninth place.
Cardiff continue to top the table but lost their unbeaten record away at Preston on Saturday and consecutive defeats would be a major blow in terms of points, confidence and persuading the ever fluctuating Ninian Park crowd to return.
The Bluebirds will make one enforced change with Darren Purse returning for the suspended Glenn Loovens. Purse will captain the side but was unsure of his place until Loovens failed in getting his ban overturned following a tussle with Preston`s Dave Nugent. Kerrea Gilbert will start despite suffering several heavy blows on the weekend, losing 3 teeth in one such incident. One tactical change may be to rest either Paul Parry or Joe Ledley, both looking jaded after injuries and Ledley`s international call-up. Willo Flood or Malvin Kamara would play on the right side of midfield.
Andrea Feretti is available following his return from loan at Scunthorpe but is unlikely to dislodge Campbell or Glombard from their regular substitutes role.
Plymouth are expected to be unchanged from their 1-1 draw with QPR with dangerman Barry Hayles leading the line. Veteran defender-come-midfielder Paul Wotton is always a danger at set-pieces both with headed goals and powerful strikes.
Cardiff need a point but will be confident that they can pick up all three with a good display. Eccentric Argyle boss Ian Holloway is determined to win for the home fans and is likely to have some weird of humourous comment s in his post-match comments!
