Pearson Praise For 'Consistent' Cardiff City

Leicester City boss Nigel Pearson has been impressed by Cardiff City's ability to keep picking up points and believes his Foxes side are aiming to follow our lead and move up the table. Cardiff are on top of the table, so you have to agree that we have done well and responded positiviely to the various defeats that have cropped up and halted our progress. Charlton away, rock bottom Peterborough and a reversal at Bolton are indicative of our oddities - but things remain promising for the Bluebirds.

Leicester City look extremely strong on paper and it is no suprise to see them challenging. Indeed they were our closest challengers for a while , before Palace and Middlesbrough embarked on their current impressive runs.

Speaking to the LCFC official site, Pearson commented on Cardiff City:

"They`re a difficult side to beat, but I think we will give them a few problems. We have respect for them, but we`ll be focused on our own performance, making sure we do everything we can to win the game. They`re a side that have been pretty consistent this season and have been there or there abouts right the way through."

"They`ve managed to keep their consistency, but we`re not too far behind and whatever happens in the next few games, we go into a busy period in a decent position, but we`re looking to improve."

This will be a difficult game. The Foxes know we will be vulnerable, while the Bluebirds will have inspirational captain Hudson back and be looking to respond to last weeks disappointing defeat. Impossible to predict how this one will go, but any sort of result would have to be acceptable away at one of the strongest clubs in the championship. Cardiff City, if we play to our ability, have nothing to fear - but will need to play an awful lot better if we are to avoid defeat.
