Cardiff City vs Hull City (Team News)

Cardiff City remain without a number of key players but Mackay can at least stick with the majority of the side that has shown such good form at home recently.

Craig Bellamy (knee) and Tommy Smith (hamstring)are both out until the end of the month, with only Nicky Maynard (knee) out for a longer period.

The other worry for City is over midfielder Jordon Mutch. The former Birmingham City man has continued to suffer problems with his feet. He is near a return, but is unlikely to feature against the Tigers and will continue to be monitored. Stephen McPhail is back in training after hamstring issues, but is some way off match fitness.

Hull City have their own injury concerns but are, along with Middlesbrough, one of the in-form Championship sides. Steve Bruce has dipped into the loan market and brought midfielder David Meyler in. He will surely prove a good addition and is expected to be included in the squad to face the Bluebirds.

Liam Rosenior is rated 50:50 for the game after recovering from a groin strain. He, along with Ahmed Elmohamady (thigh)and defender Alex Bruce (knee) will all face late fitness tests ahead of the game.

Key striker Matty Fryatt (Achilles) and Joe Dudgeon (knee) are ruled out, while Jack Hobbs and Tom Cairney are back in training- though will not yet be ready for first team action.
