Vital Cardiff speaks to editor over at the Burnley site- thanks to Phil !
Very much mid-table - happy with your start?
It could have been worse with our woeful defence under Howe! Picked up a bit under caretaker,Terry Pashley and now just three points off play-offs spot. Season could go either way but realistically most Clarets fans predicting midtable at start of season so anything higher a bonus!!
Thought on Howe's departure and possible replacements?
Most Clarets fans I think if they were honest sensed Howe was out of his depth at this level but wanted him to succeed after the horrors of Brian Laws. Would be delighted with a high-profile appointment like Holloway or McCarthy but it looks like its gonna be Sean Dyche! Not so good and lacks ambition
How's your general form?
Inconsistent to say the least but signs of confidence returning and better performances especially in defence. We can score for fun and he`s called Charlie Austin! Stop him you stop Burnley
If you could take on Cardiff player on a free - who and why?
Peter Whittingham was a bit of a disappointment during his loan spell at Turf Moor back in 2005. Look at him now!! An attacking midfielder who can score and/or play either wing? Yes,please
Player to watch Saturday?
Has to be Charlie Austin don`t it? See above
Prediction for the game?
Tough game for us but with our confidence now high and defence looking better I fancy our chances for at least a draw despite your home form. 1-1!! Austin to get the goal of course and set up a club record of scoring in nine consecutive games.
