Bluebird players lead the way

Cardiff City have two players in the top 5 of the official football statistics index and over 100 actim points accrued so far.

The index tallies various in-game statistics including goals scored, shots on target, , passes, tackles, blocks and clearances while also taking into account fouls and offsides to give an accurate insight into all round contributions of individual players.

Joe Ledley leads the list with the versatile 19 year old on 117 points. The Welsh international has been in excellent form scoring in the wins against Barnsley and Birmingham, something he has been criticised for in the past. Ledley`s form saw him come 2nd in the player of the month awards behind Gareth Bale (8th in the rankings with 93 points).

Riccy Scimeca is in 4th place in the list with 103 points and the ex-Baggie has looked a completely different player this season. Full of direct running and incisive passing , the midfielder looks calm and determined in protecting the back four and has improved tremendously over the summer in terms of attacking potential and fitness. Scimeca was named stand-in skipper for the win over Birmingham in Darren Purse`s absence.

Norwich City, in 2nd place in the Championship, also have 2 players in the top 5 in Lee Croft and Darren Huckerby.

Well done to Joe and Riccy and lets hope the early season form can be continued

I see both you and Norwich "lead the way" - don't know where, but let's see if it goes all the way down!

hehe not quite scfc, our players are 1st and 4th, Norwich's are 2nd and 5th which puts us ever so slightly ahead.....
