Cardiff City could call upon Scottish winger Craig Conway to step into the matchday squad after the injuries appear to be racking up for the Bluebirds. Conway, who suffered a bad ankle injury last season, recently impressed for the CCFC development side and is back in contention.
Conway has played just 15 minutes of league action since returning from injury, appearing as a substitute for Craig Bellamy during the 0-0 draw with Brighton. He has struggled to even make the matchday squad since the arrivals of Kim, Noone and co. but could find himself back in the fray tonight.
Tommy Smith looks likely to miss out, after limping from the field against Blackpool. He was replaced by Joe Mason, but he could well be utilised in attack with Nicky Maynard ruled out, and Craig Bellamy often rested for midweek games after playing over the weekend.
Craig Noone seems certain to start on the right, while Cowie or Kim Bo Kyung could feature on the right. Conway, as a natural right-footer, would also be an option - but a retun to the bench looks more likely for 'The Bull'.
Don't forget, Conway was an important player for City as we spent the majority of last season in the top six. He is not the paciest winger, but offers good positive intent and is a good passer. His ability to cross from deep provides another useful option and he can certainly play a role for the Bluebirds when required this season.
