Cardiff City played extremely well to beat Blackpool 3-0 yesterday and it was a dejected Seasiders boss Ian Holloway who spoke after the game at the post match media conference.
Always a 'character', Holloway is known for his off-the-wall comments but he is usually honest, up-front and a proven manager at this level. Cardiff City fans who watched the Football League highlight last night would have been treated to the two Connolly goals, and Whittingham's spectacular free-kick effort.
However, Holloway also made a comment likely to confuse fans, after claiming that he felt Blackpool were doing well early on and that the Bluebirds fans had started to turn on our own team. I can't think of any period of the game where City were not on top, but certainly there was no apparent discontent from our fans who appreciated the attacking line-up with Noone and Bellamy included - and saw that we looked sharp and positive.
Whatever Holloway heard, he was almost certainly mistaken, or acting on the words of one or two fans always willing to have a moan. Presumably he was attempting to divert attention from his side being blown away. Either that, or 'Ollie' is finally losing it and is starting to hear things!!
