'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Dave Jones - Manager of the month

After seeing his side sitting at the top of the Championship during the International break with 4 wins and a draw from 5 games so far, DJ has won the award. City have astounded many pundits with breathtaking football and have played, in WBA and Birmingham, 2 of the most fancied teams and promotion favourites with Leeds also a major force. WBA are the only team to take a point from us and scored one of only 2 goals conceded in 450 minutes.

It has been suggested that the award is jinxed following most teams suffering a dismal patch directly after the manager winning the award but Dave Jones is not bnothered by that and is keeping his feet firmly of the ground:

'I have won this award in the past and lost games, likewise, I have also won games. I don't believe all that, so we'll go to Preston confident in ourselves, prepare correctly and hopefully come away with the right result.'

The award is completely deserved given the fantastic job done by Jones in his 2 years in Cardiff. Lets hope its the first of many such awards for our most successful manager in a long long while.
