Bristol City vs Cardiff City (Team News)

Cardiff City have one new injury worry after midfielder Jordon Mutch picked up some nasty bruising and sweeling to his foot following a challenge against Brighton on Tuesday. He will face a late fitness test with Filip Kiss, Joe Mason and Tommy Smith hoping to replace him.

Frenchman Rudy Gestede remains out with a knee problem but Stephen McPhail (hamstring) and Kadeem Harris (thigh) are both back in contention, but need reserve team matches before staking their claim for a place in the matchday squad.

New recruits Tommy Smith and Matthew Connelly are both set to be included in the matchday squad, but Darcy Blake will not after departing the club for Crystal Palace.

Bristol City also have a new face hoping to feature with striker Sam Baldock joining in midweek from West Ham. He will compete with Jon Stead, Ryan Taylor, Steve Davies and Brett Pitman for places in the Robins' attack with Pitman likely to make way for Baldock in the matchday squad.

Taylor (ankle) and veteran Louis Carey (hip) are both fit to feature having recovered from recent injury niggles - both have featured recently and have no ill effects.

Returning to contention at Neil Kilkenny (back) and Mark Wilson (illness) who were not risked but have now been declared ready for selection.
