Cardiff City's Gerrard Close To Leicester Switch
Cardiff City's out-of-favour centre-half Anthony Gerrard appears on the verge of an exit with fellow promotion hopefuls Leicester City ready to take a chance on the former Walsall man.
The Foxes, along with Bristol City, had lodged a £200k bid around a week ago - but Malky Mackay was unwilling to accept a fee for Gerrard, who remains a solid Championship centre-half despite being surplus to requirements at CCS.
After an injury to Sean St Ledger, Leicester City appear to have increased their offer and though their £400k bid has not matches City's half a million valuation - the Bluebirds have accepted.
With Gerrard and Keinan unwanted but perfectly acceptable Championship cover, the decision to let Gerrard leave now is probably a good one. He is a big personality and has struggled to establish himself in the first team - often being overlooked by Mackay.
Personal terms are almost agreed between Gerrard and Leicester City with the deal potentially wrapped up very shortly - barring any late hiccups.
