Irish duo to sign?

Irish duo to sign?

Cardiff are reportedly considering a deadline day swoop for two highly rated Irish players. Both players play for Irish League side Bohemians and City sent scouts to watch them in action against Shamrock Rovers recently.

Reading made a similar move last season to sign Long and Doyle from Ireland and Shane Long went on to be intrumental in the Royals promotion charge and with City currently sitting pretty at the top of the Championship all fans are hoping we could emulate Reading's success last season.

After missing out on Koumas, City may need reinforcements as injuries and suspensions mount up so Stephen Ward and John Paul Kelly may be the men targetted by Dave Jones to bolster his squad for a real promotion push. Both men have attracted interst from English clubs with Ward being subject of a bid from Ipswitch and both players turning down moves to Norweigian clubs.
