Cardiff City Beaten By Forest Green Rovers

Cardiff City went down to a 1-0 away defeat in today's pre-season friendly at Forest Green Rovers. As expected, City played a mixture of youth and first team players with reserve players like Kevin St Luce and promising forward Jesse Darko getting a run-out.

New boys Velikonja and Lewis appeared while Elliot Parrish and Kedeem Harris both featured having not made their first team debuts.

The goal came midway through the first half when the likely Taylor pulled back for Omar Koroma to slide a low effort across Lewis.

City created a headed chance for Velikonja while Kiss and Whittingham had decent efforts beaten away. Steve McPhail was forced off just minutes into the second half but the officials farcically decided we couldn't replace him so ther Bluebirds effectively played the second half with 10 men.

A decent run out for City, and Mackay will now begin to plan for the forthcoming friendlies and try to decide who will make his starting XI to face Hudderfield Town in 3 weeks time.
