Ex-City Man Heaton Seals Bristol City Switch

Ex-City Man Heaton Seals Bristol City Switch

Former Cardiff City goalkeeper Tom Heaton signs for rivals Bristol City on a 1 year deal. Heaton rejected the chance to stay at CCS after finding himself starved of chances as David Marshall's understudy.

Interest from Watford and Ipswich Town was strong for the former Man Utd man, who represents a very good option as a free transfer. After travelling to spain with BCFC, Heaton has now sealed a permanent transfer and will hope to establish himself as the successor to David James.

Bluebirds fans will wish Heaton all the best, while a trip to Ashton Gate is one of our first games so we may well see Heaton play against us in the not too distant future.
