Cardiff City's Hudson Excited By Young Starlets

Cardiff City Captain Mark Hudson is excited by the potential of several of the clubs youg starlets, each of whom will be looking to earn a regular place in Malky Mackay's matchday squads. The youngsters will certainly be given a chance and only need to look at the impact made by Rudy Gestede and especially Joe Mason last season.

Hudson tipped three youngsters in particular to progress and succeed this season, with attacker Joe Mason looking to build on an excellent Championship debut campaign. Pacy Winger Kadeem Harris joined midway through the last season, but is yet to make his first team debut. 'The young lads who came in back then have grown and matured. Look at Joe Mason. He has that confidence about him now - you can see it in his eyes.'

'Joe Ralls has been looking good in training, Kadeem Harris came in and looks great. He will benefit from those few months with us at the end of last season and is ready to kick on.'

Rudy Gestede, Nat Jarvis and newly signed midfielder Theo Wharton will also be training with the senior squad and be hoping to force their way into the reckoning. With Malky Mackay in charge, the youth products will always have a chance and there are certainly some exciting young prospects in the squad looking to learn from the more experienced likes of Hudson, McNaughton, Whittingham and McPhail.
