Successful Swiss Trip For Cardiff City

Cardiff City's squad has been freshed up with several new faces, with Joe Lewis and Jordon Mutch joining up with the majority of last years existing players as the Bluebirds travelled to Switzerland for the pre-season fitness camp.

The trip was a marked change from the previous regime, with the warm weather tours including friendlies ditched for a more intense training regimen with no matches against oppositiuon teams included. The cooloer weather in Switzerland allowed more physical sessions, and the players were given a very tough challenge by Richard Collinge and his staff.

despite the gruelling workload, the squad were in good spirits and appeared in spirited but determined mood throughout. Amidst the fitness and performance training, there were also some team bonding session and it certainly seems that Malky Mackay's influence on the entire club, from top to bottom, is becoming more apparent.

The Cardiff City players arrived back over the weekend, and will work towards the first of several pre-season fixtures with a trip to Forest Green Rovers scheduled for this coming weekend.
