Kim Bo Kyung's Cardiff City Move Remains On Ice

Cardiff City remain close to securing a transfer coup but are yet to formerly unveil South Korean starlet Kim Bo Kyung as a Bluebirds player after his current club Cerezo Osaka refused to accept City's offer.

A deal to sign Kim was agreed in principal, and a Cardiff City delegation inlcuding Alan Whitely and Iain Moody met with the player in London to finalise personal terms. However, with a deal agreed, and a work permit seemingly a formality, Cerezo Osaka are still unhappy with the finer details of our offer.

Kim himself has stated he wants his future all tied up prior to the Olympics, and settled on Cardiff City despite strong interest from across Europe. The attacking midfielder would represent an exciting signing for the Bluebirds - and also strengthen our growing ties with the Far East.

It seems likely that Cerezo Osaka know that a deal is all but complete, and are trying to improve the deal for them by means of altering payment terms and dates etc. Both CCFC and Kim would prefer to tie up all the loose ends immediately so hopefully the final remaining issues can be ironed out and Kim confirmed very soon as a Cardiff City player.
