'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Player Ratings (vs Birmingham)

ALEXANDER 7: Alert when need and made some good saves. Some wayward clearances but a good performance from 'Scotland's number 1'.

GILBERT 7 : Sometimes out of position but was determined and busy on his return. Supported well and shackled McSheffrey effectively.

McNAUGHTON 8 : Absolute football. Another great performance full of skills, pace and tackling - a superb find.

LOOVENS 8 : Dominant and aggressive performance. Gave the attackers no time or space and completely neutralised their undoubted threat.

JOHNSON 9 :(MOM): Powerful, assertive and colossal in the heart of defence. Cleared time and again and really looked the part.

PARRY 8 : On form player and beat his man repeatedly with absurd ease. Dangerous outside his man and cutting in, could work on shooting but deserved his goal.

LEDLEY 7 : Full of running and assured in defence. Linked the play well but faded slightly towards the end. Good finish and will be pleased to score again.

McPHAIL 7: Exquisite short passing always finding their man and was instrumental in most of the good moves.

SCIMECA 7 : Captain for the day and led by example. Covered every blade and supported in attack. Has added more skill this season and was always available.

THOMPSON 7 : Effective in the area and got a good assist. Got little joy in the air against huge and experienced CBs but looked good on the floor and held the ball up well.

CHOPRA 8 : Fantastic work for the team, nearly scored several times making chances for himself. Always worried defenders and worked so hard for the team. He created the space for the wingers to attack.
