Eddie May's Barmy Army......

Cardiff City will tonight pay tribute to former manager Eddie May who passed away over the weekend, aged 68.

May was a hugely popular manager of the Bluebirds in the early 90s and was also the mastermind behind the memorable 1-0 victory over Manchester City courtesy of Nathan Blake's stunning strike.

One of the more memorablebanners ever to adorn the Ninian Park Bob Bank read: 'The Darling Buds of Eddie May' and reflected the good spirit at the club at that time, despite languishing in the lower leagues and with miniscule crowds compared to tthe current situation.

Tonight's game will see the players wearing black armbands, prior to a more formal memorial/celebration to be held prior to the Leeds United home game on Saturday.

During his playing career, May represented Swansea and Wrexham but is best remebered for his managerial spell in charge of the Bluebirds.

RIP Eddie May.
