Barnsley vs Cardiff City (Team News)

Cardiff City manager Malky Mackay has serious concerns over his attacking line for the Barnsley game with doubts over all but one of his strikers - that one beinng out-of favour Robert Earnshaw, desperately short on confidence, match sharpness and gametime.

Kenny Miller played on Monday, despite a deep gash to his leg. Whilst the wound has healed somewhat, and could again be glued to guard against further exposing the tissue, this is far from ideal and Miller remains a doubt.

Further to Miller's problems, his two understudies both missed the Easter Monday draw with Watford as Rudy Gestede (ankle & hip) and Joe Mason (knee) were ruled out. Neither injury is serious, but both face late fitness tests and are rated as doubtful for the game.

Winger Craig Conway is definitely out with ruptured ankle ligaments so young winger Kadeem Harris may win a place on the bench and possibly his debut.

The rest of City's squad is fit, but tired though Liam Lawrence, Stephen McPhail and Don Cowie have all only recently shaken off knocks.

arnsley have their own injury worries and will be without long term absentee and star midfielder Jakob Butterfield - the Tykes captain has a knee injury and will probably not feature for Barnsley again with a summer move likely.

Goalkeeper Luke Steele (stomach) will not play, so loanee Button continues between the sticks, while there will be late fitness tests for Matty Done (hamstring) and Bobby Hassell(knee).

David Perkins looks set to return after a knee complaint, while the versatile Jim O'Brien is set to feature after being rested recently.

Keith Hill also has Scott Golbourne and Welsh defender Rob Edwards (dead-leg) back in contention.
