Another Stalemate As Cardiff City Held By Milwall

Cardiff City again were held, this time at home to Millwall and despite causing numerous dangerous moments in the Lions box - City lacked a cutting edge and were unable to break the deadlock.

City were the better side throughout, but found Millwall resolute, very strong and determined to claim a draw - the visitors did go close themselves twice but Marshall was out quickly to deny Henry.

For Cardiff City, the best chance came during the first half when Mason controlled a bouncing ball but his goalbound effort was superbly blocked on the line. A headed 'goal' in the second half was ruled out (again) - presumably for a foul on the keeper.

Too often, good moves ended with Millwall goalkeeper Maik Taylor claiming a simple catch from a chipped cross as City ran out of ideas and instead of working the ball around, opted to try and cross when often there were no attackers nearby.

The draw is not the end of the play-off hopes, but a significant blow. You simply have to win these games, and City's continued lack of goals suggests we aren't quite good enough. The fans and players will keep going, but realistically there has to be big change and I just can't see where the goals will come from.
