Cardiff City vs Peterborough United (Team News)

Cardiff City will once again be without Captain and centre-half Mark Hudson for tonight's home clash with Peterborough. Hudson remains sidelined with a calf problem so Anthony Gerrard will continue alongside Ben Turner.

The game also comes too soon for Stephen McPhail who is out with illness. Joe Ralls may come back into contention, but City have a major injury doubt over Aron Gunnarsson. The Icelandic International limped off on Saturday at Leicester, but the medical team think a nerve problem was the cause rather than the suspected hamstring tear. Gunnar faces a late fitness test to see if he's available.

Haris Vuckic could be rested after a disappointing debut at Leicester. However, with current injury worries. Mackay may opt to stick with the on-loan Newcastle United man. A change of formation or the inclusion of Joe Mason/Kadeem Harris are potential alternatives to Vuckic.

Peterborough look set to make one change to their line-up with on-loan Fulham left-back Matthew Briggs likely to start in place of Craig Alcock or Mark Little. Striker Paul Taylor is also in contention after recovering from illness.

Goalkeeper Joe Day and striker Dave Hibbert are definitely ruled out for Posh with long term injuries.
