Cardiff City Land Vuckic On Loan
Cardiff City have announced the signing of highly rated Newcastle United youngster Haris Vuckic who will join the Bluebirds for an initial 1 month loan period.
Slovenian Vuckic is an attacking midfielder / striker, and at 6 foot 3 he is clearly a powerful presence. However, he is technically very good and is certainly not a traditional target man.
Newcastle United's youth coach Richard Money has worked closely with him, and in an interview a while ago said:
'He's got everything really. Great size, good athlete, a change of pace and he's very clever and creative with the ball. I think that given the right environment, and the right development - then he's got a big future ahead of him.'
Vuckic will be in contention for the squad to face Leicester City this weekend but will need to oust either Joe Mason or Rudy Gestede from the bench. His arrival casts further doubt on Robert Earnshaw's position at the club, with another attacking option now available to Malky Mackay. It is worth noting, however, that Vuckic is cup-tied for the Carling cup and therefore not available for the Final at Wembley later this month.
There has been huge media interest and transfer speculation throughout Vuckic's career to date. He is rated as one of the brightest young players, if he can reach his potential. Hopefully, he can add a different dimension to Cardiff City and help the Bluebirds maintain their impressive season to date.
