Wycombe Fan's View On Cardiff City Recruit Harris

Cardiff City's only incoming player during the trasnfer window was exciting young prospect Kadeem Harris who has joined from Wycombe Wanderers. With so few appearances, little is know about Harris - though he appears to have tremendous potential and though he is one for the future, hopefully he can make an impact this season too.

We spoke to Vital Wycombe Wanderers to get more information on the latest Bluebirds recruit:

What's his best position i.e. which side and could he cover other positions?

From what we at Wycombe Wanderers have seen of him, Kadeem is comfortable playing on either wing.

What sort of winger is he? (power, pace, skilful, crossing, dribbling etc)

Most of those. He's certainly got pace, skill and good footwork. Being young and relatively inexperienced, his decision making probably needs the most work. He's only a little guy but he seems to have beefed up a bit during the summer and isn't knocked off the ball so easily now.

Any particular strengths/ weaknesses?

On his day he'll skin the opposing full back. Preston subbed their right-back at half time at Adams Park earlier this season. That was his best performance for us. (We still lost 4-3 though!) Regarding weaknesses, as I said above, his decision making will no doubt improve with time.

I assume you'd have liked to keep him - what would've been a fair price?

Oh yes, we need all the quality we can get right now and would ideally like to see more of our young stars before they're flogged off, but that's another story. I would say a fair price would be about £250,000 with a very healthy sell-on clause.

Will he be a good player in the Championship?

I really hope so. I would imagine he'll be gradually introduced into the team. He's got the skill, his attitude is exemplary, and if his confidence stays high, the world's his lobster!

Is Cardiff a good move for him?

Time will tell.

Many thanks to Len over at Vital Wycombe Wanderers for his views.
