Cardiff vs Coventry (preview)

The sky blues are the visitors this weekend with the Bluebirds looking to build on their solid start to the season. With a win and a draw from our opening two games and following a scintillating performance last time out, confidence is high in the City camp and a bumper crowd is again expected at Ninian Park. Over 18500 fans saw us draw, and outplay for most of the game, WBA and the vast majority of the fans will have been impressed so the few empty seats could be filled this time out for a Saturday afternoon game.

Coventry are a strong outfit themselves and Micky Adams has assembled a squad capable of challenging for the play-offs so this should be a good test for City.
Coventry travel on the back of a 0-2 defeat at Southampton on Wednesday but have impressive firepower in Adebola, McSheffrey and Stern John. Former City target Colin Cameron is expected to start on the bench.

City have no new injury worries and skipper Darren Purse may return though after Roger Johnson's dominating performance over WBA it would be silly to risk Purse if not 100% fit. Kev Cooper is still sidelined by a calf problem but one change to the starting line-up is expected with new signing Willo Flood expected to start in place of Paul Parry.

Football League officials will be present as the teams run out before the game to monitor the noise levels created by the City fans compared to other clubs so c'mon support the boys and MAKE SOME NOISE!
