Cardiff City Edge to Win Over Nottm Forest

Cardiff City ground out a hard fought victory over Nottigham Forest yesterday to take advantage of a mixed bag of Championship results and continue the recent run of redults

It was far from a vintage display from the Bluebirds, but we did show more ambition going forwards and were rewarded with a winning goal from sub Joe Mason midway through the second half. Mason took his goal well with a well directed header from (yet another) Whittingham assist.

Forest had a ckaim for a penalty rejected, while the superb Kevin McNaughton produced a brilliant slide tackle to prevent a certain goal but Forest always looked happy with a draw.

City deserve credit fir breaking down a stubborn Forest outfit and gaining all three points. However, Macak will expect to see an improvement in our passing, empo and creativity. Three points, a clean sheet and third place represents another great result for us.
