Cardiff City defender Andrew Taylor has made a solid start to life in South Wales, playing whenwever fit on the left side of defence but showing a good energy and determination to push forward. The Bluebirds have conceded too many goals, but in Taylor and McNaughton - we have two very good full-backs at this level.
City got back to winning ways last week, with a 5-3 win over Barnsley. The Tykes were weoful, and Cardiff City will have been bitterly disappointed to have conceded two late goals to make the scoreline less emphatic.
That win was followed up by a bright and gutsy display in midweek as the Bluebirds notched a 1-0 win over Burnley - a very welcome clean sheet. Now attentions turn to the weekend fixture, a difficult trip to face Leeds United on Sunday.
Speaking of the importance of the fixture, Taylor told BBC Sport:
'It's a game as a player you look forward to. Leeds is still classed as a big team with a massive fan base.'
'Playing in games where there's a good atmosphere it spurs you on. We'll take a good amount of fans ourselves and it will be electric.'
'It's got all the ingredients to be a good game.'
Cardiff City have historically done well against Leeds United in recent seasons. However, this will be a huge task to come away with points and the Bluebirds will need to be at their best to get a result. Ross McCormack will line up against us, while Steve McPhail will also hope for a chance to face his former club.
