Barnsley Fans Buzzing About Butterfield Threat

Cardiff City host Barnsley in just a couple of hours time and the Tykes fans in town are hopeful of a result despite struggling badly with injuries.

One man in particular is invisal to their plans and the Bluebirds will need to keep a close watch on highly rated youngster Jakob Butterfield who is in great form and relishing his new captain's role. All the talk is of the young midfielder who rose through the ranks at Oakwell and is attracting in interest from elsewhere of late.

Already an important team member, Butterfield has apparently added a new edge and confidence to his game since being appointed skipper, showing maturity and extra pace to go with his energy and commitment. The main concern amongst the visiting fans today is how they can keep hold of their most influential player.

The Bluebirds are far from settled in midfield, and will need to get to grips with the threat offered by Butterfield and will want to avoid being out-played through the middle as happened when Ipswich visited last week and hopefully Kiss, Whittingham and Gunnarsson will be able to limit Butterfield's influence. We definitely need to pick up points today...
