Kenny Miller's Injury Is 'Not Improving'

Cardiff City striker Kenny Miller has travelled with the Scotland squad despite struggling with a thigh strain picked up during our 2-1 defeat to Hull City.

The Leichtenstein game was deemed to early for him, but the player and Scottish management had hoped he would be fit to lead the line in the midweek clash with Spain. However, manager Craig Levein has cast foubt on his availability and stated the injury has not been improving as hoped. He told BBC Sport:

'The most doubtful will be Kenny. He hasn't improved from Friday until today.'

'I'm not definitely ruling him out, but he would be the most doubtful.'

A return for Miller would be welcome gametime for him, and he would likely be fit to start again when Ipswich Town visit CCS on Saturday. However, the extra few days rest would also see him back to full fitness while risking a sub-100% player of Miller's age could cause Cardiff City serious problems if he were to aggrevate the problem and miss a prolonged period.

Fellow Bluebird Don Cowie is on standby to replace diminutive midfielder Barry Bannan who suffered a cut foot and may be forced to sit out.
