Cardiff City will be forced to make one defensive change as Leicester City return for their second visit in a week with left-back Andrew Taylor ruled out with a hamstring tear.
Lee Naylor provides cover at left-back, but a more likely option is the inclusion of either Darcy Blake or Paul Quinn on the right meaning a switch in flank for the versatile Kevin McNaughton.
The other major decision for Malky Mackay will be over whether to stick with the two defensive midfielder formation which caused Blackpool so many problems. That would mean Kenny Miller again playing alone up-front, though Earnshaw may return at the expense of Kiss / Gunnarsson.
Both Stephen McPhail and Ben Turner are lacking match practice and will not feature. Jon Parkin has departed to join Doncaster Rovers on loan.
Leicester City look certain to have defensive lynchpin Matt Mills available after he recovered from the heavy knock which saw him substituted in the Carling Cup.
The Foxes will be without former Portsmouth striker David Nugent, who has been out for several weeks with a hamstring injury. He is now back in training, but will not be considered for selection.
Sven Goran Erikssen will also be without experienced duo Paul Gallagher (ankle) and Matt Oakley (back)who are both sidelined.
The likes of Konchesky, Beckford, Vassell and Welshman Andy King will return after being rested in midweek.
