Parkin Hoping For Saunders Boost

Cardiff City striker Jon Parkin recently joined fellow Championship outfit Doncaster Rovers on an initial one month loan but after being signed by under pressure manager Sean O'Driscoll, Parkin is once again left in limbo after Donny ditched O'Driscoll to appoint former Wrexham forward Dean Saunders.

Saunders has done a good job under tremendous pressure with Wrexham. He has earned a chance and the ongoing problems at the North Wales club will have made his decision to join Rovers all the easier.

Saunders did not bring Parkin to the club, and may not be a fan of his style. Although obviously a big physical presence - Parkin is not all about barging defenders and headed goals. He also likes to play with his back-to-goal and link with midfield.

It would be desperately disappointing for Parkin to leave one club where he was getting negligible gametime, for another where he is left on the sidelines. He will be hoping for a chance, and for some 1st team action.
