Cardiff City Officially Unveil Malky Mackay

Cardiff City have officially appointed Malky Mackay as our new manager at a 3pm press conference at CCS this afternoon. The decision was expected over the past couple of days after Watford announced he was keen on the City job.

Mackay is young, hungry and highly regarded within the game. He will offer a different approach to Dave Jones, with more emphasis on tactical surprises and training ground moves.

He has guided Watford well over the difficult two seasons he has been involved in, but suffered with a small squad and the difficulties with inconsistency that brings. Mackay has pleanty of experience of promotion as a player, and will look to translate that into his managerial career.

There is plenty of hard work to be done now with a major rebuilding execise his first job with the Bluebirds.

Welcome to Cardiff City - Malky Mackay.
