Bluebirds & Royals Set To Gamble On Stars

Cardiff City and Reading FC face off tonight in a match of huge significance - each aiming to win the right to face Swansea City for a place in the Premiership. The game is evenly poised at 0-0, but both sides have strong attacking potential and are evenly matched.

Whilst these games need little extra incentive or build-up, both camps have been anxiously awaiting injury news on, arguably, the star player from both camps.

Bluebirds striker Craig Bellamy limped off early in the 0-0 draw in Berkshire. A scan on his hamstring revealed no tear, but he would ideally be rested before such an 'explosive' player takes to the field again.

Reading winger Jimmy Kebe missed the first leg with a thigh strain after being reated doubtful for the week leading up to the tie. He has continued his rehabilitation and has travelled with the Royals to South Wales today - hopeful of being fit to start in the match.

Neitehr player would feature under normal circumstances. However, these are anything but and the Premiership carrot is a massive incentive for both managers to risk their star men. There's little room for sentiment, or regrets tomorrow. Both men are capable of making a huge difference to their respective sides, and the quality of the game would be enhanced by the inclusion of either. Fate to decide.
