Cardiff City To Face Reading Without Key Man Kebe

Cardiff City are preparing to face Reading FC tonight with the Royals now likely to be without key wideman Jimmy Kebe who is extremely doubtful with a thigh injury. It had been touch-and-go all week, but Kebe now looks likely to miss the 1st leg of the tie ratehr than risk him suffering a recurrence and missing both legs and potentially the final.

Kebe's absence is good news for Cardiff City as he is an important player for Reading. While the likes of Long, Hunt and Church are dangerous players, and Jobi McAnuff can be unplayable on his day - it is Jimmy Kebe who has real pace, quality and real Premiership quality.

Welshman Hal Robson-Kanu could feature, and has been in good form of late but with Cardiff City's defensive frailties still apparent - Kebe would have been a big boost for Reading.

It is still possible that Frenchman Kebe will feature, but news from the Reading camp is that they will not risk him unless he is 100% and he has not participated in full training over the course of this week.
