Chopra Makes Welcome Cardiff City Return
Cardiff City welcomed back lively striker Michael Chopra as he appeared from the bench during the final minutes of the 2-2 draw with Queens Park Rangers on Saturday.
It was Chopra's first appearance since pulling up injured in mid-March when Barnsley visited CCS. It had been feared his groin problem would keep him out for the entire season, but his rehabilitation went well and he made a welcome return, albeit for just a few minutes.
The Bluebirds have struggled to fit all of Bothroyd, Bellamy and Chopra into the starting line-up and Welshman Craig Bellamy has excelled of late in a more advanced forward role with Chopra sidelined. However, his return does give Jones options and any club in the league would like to have a player of Chopra's quality available.
Chopra is likely to remain on the bench for today's trip to Preston North End, but with Bellamy working incredibly hard, and 3 games in a week - the two pacy strikers can share responsibilities and hopefully fire the Bluebirds to a fifth win in six.
