Promotion Is All In Cardiff City's Hands Now !!!

Cardiff City held strong and kept their nerve last night to record a massive 2-0 win away at Sheffield United and a third successive win. THe news coming in from elsewhere was gernally good as rivals Swansea City were held at home by Hull City, and crucially, Norwich City stumbled away at Watford and picked up a draw.

That allowed City to leapfrog the Canaries into second place, and the remaining promotion spot behind the unstoppable QPR. We also opened up a 2 point gap over the Swans so with 5 games to play - our destiny is in our own hands.

Five more wins will guarantee promotion. Either that, or match the teams around us. IT would appear either ourselves, Norwich City, Swansea City or in-form Reading will take that coveted second spot and the Bluebirds must now face the pressures that come with being in poll position.

It's one game at a time for Cardiff City now, QPR will pose a serious challenge when they visit CCS, while a final day trip to Burnley is not an enticing prospect but every game is certainly winnable and the Bluebirds players have been very good since the International break. We needed to string some wins together, and they have done just that - a fantastic position for us to occupy, now for the final push....
