Sheffield Utd vs Cardiff City (Team News)

Cardiff City will again be without key defender Mark Hudson (knee) and lively striker Michael Chopra (hamstring) for the trip to face the Blades but both have exceeded initial expectations and are hoping to return in the forthcoming few weeks.

That leaves goalkeeper Tom Heaton (groin) and targetman Jon Parkin (muscle strain) as the short term injury worries. heaton is hopeful of making the clash while Parkin has apparently travelled home from North Yorkshire after missing the Doncaster clash.

There also remains a doubt over the fitness of on-loan defender Jlloyd Samuel who has not featured for Bolton's first team and looked short of fitness in his appearances against Derby County, and especially Doncaster. With Lee Naylor making his comeback on Saturday, Jones may rest Samuel given the short recovery period and his lack of gametime. Ommitting Samuel would also allow for the inclusion of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas as the fifth loanee (only 5 permitted per squad).

Jason Koumas could feature after returning to form with a bang, he could replace either Chris Burke or Stephen McPhail.

Sheffield United will be without Lee Williamson who was sent off during a fiery clash with Watford recently. Darius Henderson was also red-carded in the same fixture but picked up a lesser ban and is available.

Nick Montgomery is available after missing the defeat against Boro for personal reasons, while the Blades' attacking options are boosted after Richard Cresswell (groin)and Ched Evans (knee) returned to contention.

More positive news for manager Micky Adams is that Shane Lowry (thigh) is fit to feature after recovering while Elian Parrino's foot injury has also improved and the Argentinian defender is also ready and available for selection.
