Under-Fire Bothroyd Returns For Cardiff City
Cardiff City's talismanic striker Jay Bothroyd has returned to training and is in contention for Saturday's all important home clash with Derby County.
Bothroyd had limped out of the 3-3 draw with Millwall with a hamstring niggle, a problem he previously suffered earlier in the season.
Jay has not been at his best of late, and has not re-created the phenomenal impact he made until Christmas. He has been targeted by referrees and at times looked frustrated with the lack of service and protection he has been given.
With Chopra ruled out, much now depends on Bothroyd to lead the City line and a return to form now would be a major boost. Much of his good work has been done outside the area, but two (wrongly) disallowed goals suggest he is not far away and perhaps only needs a goal to get him firing at 100% again.
