Burke Returns For Cardiff City, JET dropped

Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has been forced into a change to face the Lions after Michael Chopra's season was ended by a hamstring tear.

Emergency loan goalkeeper Stephen Bywater continues to deputise with Tom Heaton (groin) and David Marshall (elbow) sidelined.

The back four remains the same with Kevin McNaughton and Paul Quinn on the flanks and the most solid defensive pairing of the season Mark Hudson and Dekel Keinan continuing.

Nigerian midfielder Seyi Olofinjana returns to the starting line-up after recovering from a knee problem. He will partner Stephen McPhail in central midfield. Chris Burke also makes a return to the starting XI after being more regularly used from the bench of late. Jay Emmanuel-Thomas drops to the substitutes bench.

Craig Bellamy may be used on the left, or in attack, depending on the Bluebirds formation. If a 4-4-2 system, Peter Whittingham will operate on the left but could yet line-up in a midfield central three

Jay Bothroyd will again lead the line, desperately looking for a goal to end his barren run. There have been calls for Jon Parkin to start, but there's no doubt that when Bothroyd is on form - so are the Bluebirds.
