Olofinjana Wants Cardiff City Stay

Cardiff City's on-loan midfielder Seyi Olofinjana has revealed he is unsure of his future but is hoping to remain a Cardiff City player once his season long loan deal expires.

Olofinjana has been a rock in the Bluebirds midfield, showing excellent form which dipped only briefly in mid-season, when the entire team was struggling. He has provided physique, aerial prowess and goals from midfield.

The Nigerian was allowed to leave parent club Hull City in order to free up room on their wage bill, though the Tigers are still paying a proportion of his wages. Anthony Gerrard moved the other way and has also impressed at Hull City.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Olofinjana said:

'I'll have to go back to Hull and see what they say and they are keeping their cards close to their chest.'

'I think that will determine whether or not they want me to stay or leave. We'll leave everything until the end of the season.'

'I've enjoyed every bit of my time here. We'll see what happens at the end of the season. I'd love to stay here.'

Olofinjana is currently unavailable after tearing a knee muscle. He will not play against Ipswich Town on Saturday and is rated extremely doubful for the midweek trip to face Crystal Palace.
