Cardiff City are one of the form teams of the Championship at present with the 2-1 reversal at Nottingham Forest the only blip in an otherwise impressive sequence of results.
That run is even more valuable given that we have played a good many of the in-form teams in the league with Leicester, Swansea, Watford and Leeds all beaten by the Bluebirds in 2011.
This weekend's clash is no different with a daunting trip to Hull City on the cards. The Tigers made a disappointing start to the campaign but have roared to life in recent weeks and climbed the table rapidly courtesy of a 9 game unbeaten run. They now sit just outside the play-offs with realistic ambitions of a genuine promotion push.
There are positives for Cardiff City, not least our own good form and Tuesday's satisfying 2-0 win over Leicester City to stop the Foxes' seemingly relentless charge. Hull City have not been at their best at home this season and have actually picked up more points on the road - unusual for a well placed side.
The Bluebirds are also well suited to playing away from home with the pressures off dominating the game removed and genuine pace provided by Bellamy, Chopra, Burke and Emmanuel-Thomas to hit teams on the break.
Hull City provide a very stern test for the Bluebirds, yet another vital three points up for grabs but it is a game that can be won with a good performance. The Tigers appear almost impossible to beat going back almost 4 months but Cardiff City will always back themselves to get goals and with renewed defensive solidity - The Bluebirds can be confident if we play to our best.
