Ramsey Set For Welcome Cardiff City Return

Cardiff City look set to re-call on-loan Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey to the starting line-up after the talented Welsh youngster recovered from a minor thigh strain which kept him out of the disappointing 2-1 defeat to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.

The Bluebirds missed his control and quality in the centre of the park with Forest out-performing the City midfield for large chunks of the game.

The return of Rambo could spell a rest for captain Craig Bellamy after a grualling and high-tempo encounter just 3 days ago. Alternatively, Peter Whittingham or Chris Burke could miss out with neither reaching the heights of last year.

Burke has been subdues and looks short of confidence while Whittingham has adapted to a new role, but found space at a premium and although he has produced some fine passes, his contribution is more limited from a central or wide right position.

Cardiff City are yet to taste defeat with Ramsey in the side, and will be hoping that run continues tonight with leicester City in top form and chasing hard. A win for the Bluebirds would exorcise the Forest defeat and set us up nicely for another good run.
