Cardiff City Appeal Over FA Charges
Cardiff City boss Dave Jones has revealed that the Bluebirds have lodged an appeal after being hit with two counts of failing to control the players following the recent 2-2 draw with Reading.
Two injury time goals and a suspect free-kick were the source of a melee, in which Michael Chopra was punched by Mikele Leigertwood - the Reading midfielder picked up a 3 match ban for violent conduct.
Dave Jones told BBC Sport:
'We've already appealed against it. We'll go to the FAW and we'll put our case, and we think we've got a strong case.'
It is unclear whether an appeal has been lodged over Craig Bellamy's separate misconduct charge. The chopsy Bluebirds captain was charged after an incident in the tunnel area and could yet face a wanring/fine or suspension.
