Cardiff City Stumble To Reading Draw

Cardiff City struggled to find any fluency tonight and needed a 95th minute equaliser from Craig Bellamy to grab a late point, after Reading looked to have snatched all three courtesy of Mathieu Manset.

Reading always looked dangerous on the break with Jimmy kebe causing further problems down our dodgy left side with Lee Naylor again very vulnerable. Leigertwood drove home a deflected effort in the first half only for a dire goal kick from Federici to hand Bothroyd a 1-on-1 opportunity he gleefully accepted.

City forced a succession of corners, Hudson hitting the crossbar and Burke firing over from Bellamy's excellent cross, but we never looked truly at ease and Reading caused havoc when breaking in numbers and always held the upper hand in midfield.

Manset diverted home Kebe's low cross in injury time only for Bellamy, who had earlier hit the bar from a similar position, to fire home a 25-yard free-kick and earn a potentially crucial point from a no hope position.
