Cardiff City vs Reading (Team News)

Cardiff City could give debuts to Dekel Keinan and/or Aaron Ramsey tonight as Reading travel to CCS.

The Bluebirds have lost Danny Drinkwater and Andy Keogh, while Steve McPhail (hamstring) is ruled out with injury. However, Jay Bothroyd is fully fit after his recent hamstring troubles and Lee Naylor (groin) and Kevin McNaughton (various!) are both in contention following a 10 day lay-off.

That gives Dave Jones a few interesting choices to make, especially in midfield with Ramsey, Whittingham and Emmanuel-Thomas engaged in a three way battle for places.

Reading previously added a trio of new faces to their squad so Sean Morrison, Mathieu Manset and Brett Williams will all hope to feature. Transfer deadline day saw Ethan Gage and Erik Opsahl also join the Royals giving manager McDermott a number of options.

The influential Jimmy Kebe had been unavailable through illness, but looks likely to recover in time to feature tonight. However, young centre-back Alex Pearce looks likely to miss out with a thigh strain.

Creative midfielder Brian Howard recently pledged his futture to Reading, but is keen to play more first team football. He has been suffering with a toe injury and has not travelled with the Royals squad.
