Bellamy 'Not Considered' For Wales Duty
Cardiff City captain Craig Bellamy has been omitted from Gary Speed's first Wales squad to face Ireland next week.
According to the FAW, Bellamy was 'not considered' for the squad. He had previously spoken with Gary Speed in order to discuss the captaincy, which he then relinquished.
The decision is good news for Cardiff City fans as we look to get the most out of him in the current promotion push. We play Reading on Tuesday, followed by a trip to face Swansea City - a far more meaningful match for Welsh football than the National Friendly!
Aaron Ramsey has been called up, while Darcy Blake is on standby.
