Ex-Bluebird Drinkwater Set For Watford ?

Manchester United's promising midfielder Danny Drinkwater was recalled from the Bluebirds last week, and now looks set to seal a move to our Championship rivals and fellow promotion hopefuls Watford.

It seems likely therefore that Sir Alex Ferguson and/or the player were disillusioned with the lack of opportunities with Drinkwater failing tyo break back into central midfield, and with the arrivals of Jay Emmanuel-Thomas and Aaron Ramsey on loan fromm Arsenal.

Drinkwater began the season really well, but faded along with the team's overall form. A recurrent thigh injury saw him sidelined and he has been unable to re-find the early season form since returning. A lack of any reserve team games, and first team chances have seen him lack match fitness and there were doubts over his role for the remainder of the season - especially with the capture of Ramsey.

It would be desperately disappointing if Drinkwater were to inspire The Hornets over the remainder of the season and allow Watford to finish above us.
